K9 Pet Products UK Ltd

Anti Slavery Statement (updated January 2019)

K9 Pet Products is primarily a Midlands-based pet products manufacturer making many thousands of pet beds per year and supplied throughout the UK.

Our vision is to make a difference. Our mission is to continually strive to improve products and services to our customers and their pets.

It is important to us that we employ ethical business practices that are aligned with our vision, mission and core values.

As an employer we are committed to paying our staff above the National Minimum Wage and regularly review all our terms of employment to ensure that they comply with all relevant legislation.

We manage projects and procure services and products from a range of contractors/suppliers. All of our key suppliers are large UK based businesses, they have been informed of our approach to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and asked to confirm the steps that they have taken or are taking to ensure compliance with the Act too.

We are committed to doing what we can to combat slavery and human trafficking (in the UK).

Our anti-slavery and human trafficking statement reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing systems and controls that seek to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.

K9 Pet Products does not wish to support or deal with any
business knowingly involved in slavery or human trafficking in any part of its operations.

Our approach to modern slavery and human trafficking will be reflected in updated procurement and tender criteria which are under review. This will ensure that we continue to do the following:

  • Require new suppliers to declare that they are not involved in modern slavery or human trafficking and have not been subject to any investigation in connection with any offence involving slavery or human trafficking

  • We require our suppliers to take appropriate steps to ensure that there is no slavery or human trafficking in their supply chains

We will continue to assess any instances of non-compliance and will then take remedial action as appropriate. We will only trade with those who fully comply with this policy or those who are taking verifiable steps towards compliance.

This statement is made under section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It constitutes our businesses slavery and human trafficking statement .

This statement is approved by our managing director Mr Richard Shaw on behalf of K9 Pet Products Ltd. It will continue to be reviewed and updated as necessary or, as a minimum, on an annual basis.
